App not working. Now stuck with getting a parking ticket.

This parking app has never worked very well, but now it doesnt work at all. The log-in function does not let you in nor does it let you know if youve failed to enter the correct information. This app appears to be unsupported now. Plus, my phone says this app is monitoring my location even though I have adjusted my settings so that it is never allowed to do so. Gheesh. Delete!

I tried several times to log into the app. I had to delete the app and then I was able to log in. BUT once I was standing next to the meter it didnt read or work or whatever its supposed to do. I even handed it to my teenaged son and he couldnt get it to work.

...just fine! Now its pretty much useless. I tried more times than it was worth to get the app to at least move past the opening screen!! Nope... Zero! This is not good!

I live in Washington DC area and most jurisdictions use the easy to use Parkmobile app. Unfortunately Alexandria, VIrginia uses Pango. Hard to use, hard to start/stop, non-intuitive. If you forget -- the meter keeps running. If you start a session-- hard or impossible to extend it even if youve parked 1 hour in a 3 hour zone. Arrrgh.

I couldnt save payment information (white screen) and I could enter a parking zone (after you enter the zone number what are you supposed to do?). Why arent they using the same app as the rest of DC?

I have Parkmobile and Mobilenow. I really like both but Parkmobile is by far the best engineered. Pango is awful. Every time I try to start a session on the app it crashes, so I have to go to the website to start it. There doesnt appear to be a way to extend your time on the app, although since Ive never been able to start one on the app Im not sure.

Piece of junk app. So frustrating in so many ways - whether entering payment, constantly having to verify the software or redownloading it. Asking the mayor the next time I see him why our city went with this third rate outfit. UPDATE MAY 2016 Continues to be a truly awful service in every possible way. City of Alexandria please reconstruct with ParkMobile!!!

This doesnt work. I wish it did but it doesnt. Every time you have to put in your parking zone or meter number the app crashes. Spent 30 minutes trying, rebooting, trying again until I just had to give up and find a store to give me quarters. So you know, this app is not free. Once you download it for free it wants $1.99 a month from you, just so you know. Very bad experience for me with this app and have to delete it.

This app is convenient to start parking. They charge an additional fee for convenience and another for a text service to alert you that time is running out. The text gives the option to extend time--I wish you could simply extend the amount of time in the app (as the text message suggests you can) but this is not possible. The syntax required to extend time takes some practice because its written confusingly. Even when you figure that out its hit or miss whether you get the confirmation text....so you have to go back to the app and restart your parking (pay another fee) and potentially have a gap in the time you are covered by the time you realize your request didnt go through. I dont even know if you get charged once or twice when this happens. Overall good idea- but needs execution help and updates.

Complicated, confusing and generally irritating. You may as well pay the machine.

The ap does not recognize my account. I hope they will return my money ...

After loving and using Park Mobile app forever, I decided to breakdown and try this one since Alexandria obviously decided to cheap out. I cant even get it set up, it just does not work properly on all accounts. Please please Alexandria, get the real deal and install Park Mobile.

I wrote them a year ago about how they were missing a zip code where signs are posted that you can use their app and never got a reply. Tried again a year later and wrote again and got a bounce back at the address they use as their current "contact us" email on the app.

I tried to set it up but it never sent me a verification code! I cant verify my phone number or email address without it, so the app was completely pointless. Deleted it. Still paying for parking at physical location in Alexandria, VA.

This app is terrible. Do not use if you can avoid it. If you have one car, but multiple phones, you can only link one car to one phone. For example, as many people do, I have a personal cell and work cell. I downloaded the app to both phones. But when I tried to add my car info into both phones, after adding the car into my personal phone, there is an error when I try to add the same car into the app on my work phone. The practical effect is if I dont have the single specific phone allowed to be linked to my plate ( ie I have work phone on me, not personal phone) i cant pay the meter through the app. Taking this a step further, the app doesnt work for sharing cars. You cant link your car to other phones (eg my husbands phone - we share a car). So when he drives our car and doesnt have my personal cell phone with him he cant pay the meter from his phone. Total Fail. The error says "Communication Error: Failed to add vehicle license plate number. Vehicle might exists in another account. Ok." Pango might as well fix its typos/grammar errors too. (Error says "exists" should say "exist"). I am going to contact the City of Alexandria, VA, to ask why they bought this system versus other apps that actually work well like ParkMobile. I will also suggest to a few friends in the Mayors office that the contract be cancelled and replaced with another company.

You have to pay a monthly service charge even if you dont use the service that month. That is so dumb!

Cant even add a payment method.. the payment screen is blank.

Wouldnt register my phone- took over 10 minutes. Not convenient.
